How time flies! It has been almost a year since I started cycling. Last year(2012), I have accomplished several long rides(100k). Since then I have always been thinking to chanllenge myself to do a century, a 100-mile long ride.
However, it is hard to find a 100-mile route in the Bay Area that I can do it by myself alone.
Several months ago, a cycling friend hosted a event to visit San Antonio Valley wildflowers in this Spring(info). I finally had a chance to accomplish this milestone.
The route: Milpitas>Mt.Hamilton>The Junction>Livermore>Sunol>Milpitas (distance: 101.5mi, elevation: 10561ft, map)
4/20 8:00 Milpitas>Mt.Hamilton (distance: 26.8mi, elevation: 4146ft, time: 3:39:19)
4/20 Mt.Hamilton>The Junction (distance: 18.5mi, elevation: 2214ft, time: 2:11:30)
終於抵達 The Junction
We had lunch at The Junction Bar and Grill
4/20 The Junction>Livermore (distance: 27.9mi, elevation: 2262ft, time: 3:21:04)
4/20 19:06 Livermore>Sunol (distance: 21.7mi, elevation: 392ft, time: 1:52:56)
